James Hooks
OwnerJames P Hooks has 18 years of consulting and design experience in the food service industry. He founded Hooks Consulting and Foodservice Supply in 2015. James is passionate about the food service industry and is dedicated to helping his clients succeed. He strives to make a positive impact on the businesses he works with and is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow in his industry. James has worked with a diverse range of restaurants, from fast food chains to high-end fine dining establishments, and has gained a wealth of knowledge and expertise along the way. In addition to sales of commercial food service equipment, James offers consulting and design services to his clients, helping them to optimize their kitchen layouts and equipment choices for maximum efficiency and profitability. James takes pride in his work and upon completion of his projects he hopes to not only gain professional relationships, but personal friendships as well.
Lake Thompson
Sales ManagerLake Thompson is a true local to the North Myrtle Beach area and no stranger to the hospitality industry. With his well-versed knowledge of restaurants and businesses alike, Lake made the switch from working in restaurants to designing and supplying them with Hooks Consulting and Foodservice Supply, in the Winter of 2019. Since then, Lake has met many achievements and goals including opening a restaurant of his own, all while maintaining a career in the restaurant supply industry. In his spare time, he’s either cruising the beach on his golf cart, attending sporting events, or just having a good time with friends and family.
Kristian Whitener
AccountantKristian Whitener came to Hooks Consulting and Foodservice Supply in 2021. She has 8+ years experience in business administration, bookkeeping, and sales. Kristian is our executive administrator and oversees our bookkeeping, HR, and runs our state-of-the-art showroom. She is different from others in her position because of her ability to multitask and attention to detail that makes our customers feel at ease. With so many hats to wear, her fun loving and friendly attitude wouldn’t tell you that. She admires all her teammates for the knowledge and experience they bring and share that makes her well versed in the restaurant equipment design and install. In her off time, she enjoys watching scary movies with her husband, skateboarding on the weekends with their son, and traveling.
Jake Rowles
SalesChris Lynch
Delivery/InstallerChris Lynch has been with Hooks Consulting and Foodservice Supply since the beginning, 2015. He has 9+ years of experience in restaurant equipment installation. He was an installer for ceiling grid for 15 years before making the switch. Chris is different from others in his position because he has extensive knowledge in commercial construction, restaurant equipment installs, and can meet challenges head on. His experience and care-free attitude helps to ease any challenges from an experienced restaurateur to a small mom and pop restaurant just needing a few things. In his leisure time, he enjoys watching sports on TV, playing cornhole on the weekends, bowling in a league, and hanging out with his daughter.
Roman Stanley-Walker
Delivery/InstallerRoman Stanley-Walker joined the team in 2020. In that short amount of time, he has helped to install over 100 restaurants and many smaller deliveries. His greatest quality he brings to the team is he goes above and beyond for the customer to ensure they have best experience. He brings a positive attitude to every install from a full kitchen to just 1 piece of equipment every day. He is thankful to go to work everyday with some of the best people in the business that inspire him to always do his best. When he is not working, he loves to spend time with his family and do home improvements.
